Press office
The EKD Press Office is responsible for the press and public relations of the EKD governing bodies and the EKD Church Office. It provides information for journalists by means of press releases, press conferences and background briefings. It is also the point of contact for numerous enquiries from the media on an immense variety of topics. The Press Office establishes and maintains contact with representatives of the media, thereby contributing to confidence building between church and media. Internally, the Press Office advises whether and in what form public statements on particular issues should be made. It assists in arranging interviews, is available to play an enabling role, and in particular accompanies the chair of the EKD Council on visits to the press or round table discussions with editors.
